Gimpshop Universal Binary 2.2.11…

5/10/2006

It’s done! One problem: I’ve been at E3 (the video game expo in LA) all week. Some of you may know that I work for videogame-centric cable TV network G4 – formerly TechTV. Sure E3’s just down the road from where I live, but it’s taking up all my time this week. I’ll try to upload the source and OS X app tonight for download. I just didn’t have time last night to get to it.

Very little is new, but it sure runs faster on Intel-based Macs!

If you’re at E3, please stop by the G4 set and say hi.

You are a champ. I received my iMac 20″ (256Mb Graphices 1.5Gb RAM). It had to go back because by theend of the night it was dead but supplier assures me I will have it back by Friday. At which point I will remove the PPC version and install your Universal masterpiece.

Thanks again for the time you put into supplying an awesome piece of software.

Cheers

Been awhile Scott,

I just switched form Windows to a Mac, so I’m looking forward to the new Binary. Been following things as a Windows User for a few years now.

Can’t wait to get this up and running on my 20” iMac intel. I have been struggle with CS2; and the addition of a DSLR to my photography tools has made it quite painful to post process. Thank you.

Hey Scott,

Very psyched to hear about the universal binary! I guess the XP build must be right around the corner. Is the binary up yet? I can’t seem to find it. In “Is the Internet There” you said to look for it Saturday morning. Am I missing it?

Too sad Windows users only have Gimshop 2.2.8 to work with while you’re already working on 2.2.11 for Mac…

I’d be content with 2.2.8 if there would be no problem with opening new windows and a crashing Gimpshop as a result. But having that problem I hunger for a new windows version. I’m so broken-hearted I even consider trying the original TheGimp program (being a former 100% Photoshop user myself!!)

Kind Regards
SubZero

Howdy Scott,

Great job!

I just finished compiling and linking and testing Gimpshop 2.2.11 on Xandros 4 (Debian-based).

By 1600 PDT (-8 GMT/Zulu) the file will be at http://www.mousemeadows.com/wally/xandros3/gimpshop_2.2.11-1_i386.zip

However, I am not certain what the bandwidth might cost me. Give me a yell and I’ll Email it to you.

Bestest regards,
Wally

I downloaded gimpshop for Windows XP but there are no help files in the download so I can’t figure out how to use gimpshop. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

I can not get Gimpshop to work on a Mac runing OS X.4.9
I click GimpShop. It fires up X11 then the
Gimpshop icon disappears and leaves X11 running.
I have no idea of how to get this to run.
Thanks

Is there an update for Gimpshop to aWinXP version concurrent with Gimp 2.2.15?

Is Gimpshop being abandoned…everywhere I look…every link I try seems to be a year or two old and nothing new in the way of updates.
